Item #0001 - Axe Carrier
Description:
The defining features and measurements are taken from 18th
Century patterns and techniques. The axe boot are made to fit various
axe heads. The one pictured fits an axe head that measures 8" x 4"(bit).
The carrying strap is 1 3/4" wide necked down to 1" to accept
a 1 " brass scotch cart buckle, made in England. The axe head is
secured in the boot by a leather latch and leather button. All edges are
finished by edging, hand rubbing and creased. The materials are heavy
weight, vegetable tanned bridle leather and hand sewn with beeswaxed linen
thread. Stitching throughout is by double needle (saddlers technique)
by hand, 10 stitches to the inch.

Item #0002 - Hunting Bag
Description: The defining features and measurements are taken from original
bags of the 18th Century. The bag and flap measure 10" x 10".
The top flap, pocket edge, and inside edge are bound; the gusset is tapered;
the seams are enhanced with saddlers welts. The inside has a single pocket
that is equally divided. The adjustable carrying strap is 1-3/4 "
wide, necking down to 1" and joined by a 1" brass London Dee
buckle made in England; it is edged, creased and hand rubbed; it is sewn
into the seam. Materials are vegetable tanned cowhide and hand sewn with
beeswaxed linen thread. Stitching throughout is by double needle (saddlers
technique) by hand, 10 stitches to the inch.

Item #0003 - Blanket Harness/Carrier
Description: The adjustable carrying strap is 1" wide, joined by
1" brass scotch cart buckle made in England. The two blanket straps
are adjustable 5/8" wide, joined by 5/8 " brass scotch cart
buckles made in England with running leather keepers. All straps are finished
by edging, hand rubbing and creased. The materials are heavy weight vegetable
tanned bridle leather, hand sewn with beeswaxed linen thread. Stitching
throughout is by double needle (saddlers technique) by hand, 10 stitches
to the inch.
Note: The blanket straps when joined serve as the belt to
secure the blanket, especially when using the blanket as a match coat.

Item #0004 - Deerskin Flapped Hunting Bag/ With Linen Carrying Strap

the seam. Materials are saddlery linen webb and vegetable tanned cowhide;
hand sewn with beeswaxed linen thread. Stitching throughout is by double
needle (saddlers technique) by hand, 10 stitches to the inch.
